Vitalstatistix is a boutique producer/presenter company, presenting contemporary theatre and interdisciplinary arts projects that:
- are risk taking, provocative, political, challenging and moving;
- present distinctive, new, outsider and need-to-be-heard voices;
- are informed by feminist and gender aware perspectives;
- encompass creative collaboration, contemporary cultural research, imagination and experimentation;
- are intrinsically informed and definitively non-didactic in communication with audiences.
Vitalstatistix (Vitals), and our venue Waterside, provide a stimulating and supportive producing environment. We create meaningful partnerships with independent artists and creative teams who desire to work organically with us over several years of the development and production of their work. This investment over time means each year's program is grown from seed sown before. Our programming includes development and presentation of new work, collaborative and hybrid projects, residencies, community-based projects and industry initiatives.
Vitals calls Port Adelaide home, a place with strong cultural spirit, and this informs our production of provocative and highly diverse work. We connect emerging artists with mid-career artists, and continue our proud tradition of supporting women artists.
